Julie Drake Blankenship's Obituary
Julie Drake Blankenship, at the age of 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 22, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Lemoine and son- in- law, Jeff Lemoine; grandchildren, Drake and Bryce Lemoine. She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas Drake, Jane Flower, Roger Drake, Ann Harvey, and Lynn Drake, and wonderful lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Tricou and John (Honey) Drake.
Julie went to Mt. Carmel High School in New Orleans, La. She was part of a close circle of high school friends for life. She loved all things Mardi Gras, and Christmas. Above all, she loved the beach, especially in Pensacola. She was a great cook, and loved animals, owning many Labradors over the years.
Julie was a Human Resource Director for most of her career. She worked for LL&E, Greenbrier, Fastband, and Charter Communications among others.
A private celebration of life will be held on a beach at a later date.
