My sincere condolences to Julie's entire family upon her passing. Simple words cannot do justice to how special Julie was to me, and I will forever remember her kindness and compassion. The summer before my sophomore year of high school, my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident. I stopped by the Drake house to see Lynn, but she was not home. I got in my parent’s station wagon to leave and was sitting for a moment trying to gather my thoughts. There's a knock on the window and Julie opens the door and tells me to move over. Drying my tears, I'm thinking Julie needs a ride somewhere and was going to be driving my parents’ car. However, she just sat with me and talked, laughed and cried with me for what seemed like the next 2 hours. I left with such a feeling of comfort and relief that cannot be put into words. Another time I was at a party a few doors down from Lynn's house and figured that I would just drop in, well Lynn was not home once again but Julie was there babysitting, I ended up in trouble because for the next couple of hours I hung out with Julie and cut up and caught up with after years of not seeing her. Missed most of the party but had a great time cutting up with Julie. With genuine concern she wanted to know everything that had happened and was going on in my life. They say that there is a time for everything, and now is our time to mourn, while it is Julie's time to dance in heaven with Mr. and Mrs. Drake. Julie was such a wonderful person. She will be missed but gave all that knew her a bit of heaven on earth. Rest in Peace Julie!!!
