Mrs. Jolissaint was my shorthand teacher at Francis T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans. I was always impressed by her elegance and sweetness, a true lady. My favorite memory of Mrs. J. was a special homework assignment: write in shorthand the words of a popular song. She commented on my selection, "Mother-in-law", by New Orleans own Ernie K-Doe. Mrs. J. announced that she did indeed like HER mother-in-law and was bemused by the words of K-Doe's very popular song. (She gave me a passing grade.) What a classy, charming, and truly lovely lady.
May God comfort the family on your great, personal loss.
