Here we are 14 years later, finding this sad obituary, I was at Fairfield University with Joe, in college. Such a fun guy back in 1972. He cared for everyone - especially those who had very little. His nursing friends from 7 East at St. Vincent's - many years back - are all thinking about him and praying for him and all of you. i remember Joe so well. He was a great doctor. He also was one of the funniest guys I ever met. He always made us laugh at St Vincent's Medical Center. We all loved him, way back when. May God Bless Him and hold him in his hand with the same gentleness he gave to his patients.
I worked as Joe's RN/Office manager when he lived and practiced at the Arnot Ogden. I have thought of him frequently and am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was a wonderful man to work for(even if I burned his diplomas)and I share in your grief.
Michelle, We met you in New York with Joe, don't know if you remember. I worked with him,was friends with him and most importantly he saved my husbands life. We just found out about his passing and wanted to let you know that you are in our prayers.

Joseph's accomplishments as a talented and skilled surgeon were well known and respected. We had the pleasure of knowing him not only as a doctor but as a friend. We will miss his quick wit and sense of humor. We have loss a great doctor and a great friend. Our deepest sympathy to his family.
