Mr. & Mrs.DiLeo, There are many feelings I could share with you about Jon. He was, among many things, an inspiration to me. Within our over-filled school, Jonathan was one of my closest friends. He and I shared many hours a day, since freshman year. It is hard for me to even say how much I miss him. After reminiscing over what a terrific buddy Jon was, I decided that I just need to remember him. My favorite memory is freshman year. There was a dance that was only open to freshmen and seniors. This was awesome and it was a karokee dance. Anyway, there was a large group of us dancing and watching everyone sing. I have always loved to sing, but struggle with self-confidence. Jon picked up on my desire to go sing. He was my shove to go up. Him and I, along with a small group, went up and and sang "AllStar" by Smashmouth. It was amazingly hilarious! I can still taste his hair in my mouth. Jon and I shared a microphone and he was belting it out even though he knew that he was terrible. He made my night. His courage and sincerity spread to anyone and everyone around him. I love him dearly and hope to relay my sincere remorse for our loss. I know though that one day I will meet up with him again. I can't wait! We'll be singing! Love, Janelle Cooper
P.S. Jon's service was beautiful. He loved it. I'm sure.
