John Henry Pott, III's Obituary
John H. Pott, III was born September 24, 1924 in Kansas City, MO and passed away September 2, 2008.
He served in the United States Navy as a pilot and joined Chicago & Southern Airlines as a pilot in 1950. He married Alice Gossman on May 31, 1947. He retired from Delta Air Lines in 1984.
He is survived by his wife Alice G. Pott; his children, Julianne P. Derbes, Christine P. Caldwell, John H. Pott, IV and Andrew Pott; 9 grandchildren, to whom he was known as “Pockie” and 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral mass on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Monday will begin at 12:00 Noon.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
