John Leon Kidd III's Obituary
John Leon Kidd III, 65, a long time resident of Mandeville, LA passed away on February 5, 2023 at home. John was born on December 1, 1957 in New Orleans, LA to John Leon Kidd Jr. and Marguerite Livaudais Kidd.
John graduated from Louisiana State University after which he led a full life following his passions as an inventor, patent owner, and entrepreneur. He worked in sales and marketing, designed model airplanes, was a talented artist and musician but- his favorite title of all- was Dad. John’s three girls Margaret, Catherine, and Sarah were his pride and joy. He would often say, “as long as I have my girls and my dogs, I’m a happy guy!” He was a wonderful, treasured friend to many and loved helping others. John never met a broken anything he couldn’t fix. He had an extraordinary sense of humor and loved walking his dogs on the lakefront, Sunday bike rides, and playing guitar.
John is preceded in death by dozens of his favorite dogs who are undoubtedly wagging their tails at his arrival. After all, he was the King of treats! He is survived by his daughters Margaret Baker (Allen), Catherine Parks (Billy), Sarah Kidd (Cole); their Mother, Louisette Scott; his seven grandchildren Beau, Stella, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Wells, and Vivian; his two sisters Margie Perry (Lee) and Diane Kidd (Steve); and his parents Marguerite and John Kidd Jr.
Private services will be held. If you would like to honor John, donations can be made to one of his favorite charities, bigfluffydogs.com, or by voting Trump 2024!
E.J. Fielding Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements. Please sign the guestbook at www.ejfieldingfh.com.
