John “Doots” Jay Lanson passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday June 8th 2010 at home. He was 58 years old. Dootsie was born and raised in Metairie, LA and was a ’69 graduate of Archbishop Rummel H.S. He lived in Covington, LA, a Read Obituary

I went to Rummel & was in P D X fraternity with Dootsie He was a great guy & will be greatly missed please accept my sincere condolences Keith Aucoin.....

My family and I send our deepest sympathy to the entire Lanson family! Doots was one of a kind, and after 50 years of knowing him since St. Chritopher, Cleary, Boy Scouts with Mr. Micas, and Rummel! He surely will be missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time!
