John Bretton's Obituary
John Bretton passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at his home in Covington, LA. He was 84.
He was born in Ilford, Essex, England and was a resident of Covington, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Bretton and Winifred Parr Bretton. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Benjamin Bretton and his daughters, Jennifer Bretton and Julie Bretton Small (Brandon), and sons Jonathan Bretton and James Bretton (Amanda), daughter-in-law Lindsey Bretton and his grandchildren Dylan Bretton, Callie Bretton, Kady Bretton, Devynn Small, Jaxson Bretton, Dawsyn Small, Maci Bretton, and Nathaniel Bretton.
He worked as an Underwriter in the Marine Insurance business. After retirement he taught driving at Academics of Driving where he taught over 1,000 students how to drive.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA at 4pm and the visitation will begin at 2pm until service time.
