I'm from the family of Cleve and Dorothy Fernandez. My father is Kenneth and Paran is Ricky. From a little girl going visit her grand maw next to Dr. Brien then growing older Mrs. Joan was someone I always wanted to be like. She always had the time to speak to me and when I became older she always made me laugh. She loved life, and People she will never be forgotten. She was a very ladies lady I called her. She will be missed as when she left here.
My sincere condolences to all. Fondly will she be remembered. Gene
Dear John, Ann told me this morning of your mother's passing. I was so sorry to hear the news. It's so hard to let a loved one go but I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that she is at peace. I just wanted to let you know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lovingly, Janet
Sweetie, Herbie, Peter, Michael, John and families - We are very sorry to hear that Mrs. Joan Rose has died, though we know she is in a much better place. She was such a beautiful and kind person. We will not be able to make the services but our prayers will be with you at this special time.
We will never forget the great times we had with Aunt Joan, she was always such a lady. Memories of the camps on Lake Verret will stay with Mark and I as well as with Brady and Jody forever. (Easter time, shooting birds off the back porch, just sitting around talking, grilling red fish, and many, many more are just a few of the memories.) They were wonderful times and we will always have wonderful memories of us together with all of you. We love you all and will keep each and everyone of you along with Aunt Joan in our prayers.
Sweetie, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. I hold fond memories of her during out childhood in Baton Rouge and more wonderful memories of the times I visited you in Napoleanville. She was truly a Southern Gentle Woman. My prayers are with you and your brothers.

Cousin Joan Rose gave so much of herself. Knowing her charmed my life with loveliness.
Herb, Donna and I wanted to extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. We have such fond memories of your mother. Donna remembers her as one of the most inspiring teachers she ever had. I will always think of her as a kind, beautiful and classy woman. It was such a pleasure to have known her.
