Joanie was a caring gal, dedicated to family and friends, of which she had many. Very dedicated to her nursing career; always making time to help many along her voyage. She and Emile opened up their mountain home for many gatherings including family and friends. I was always treated as family even though not by birth. You will be sadly missed but your spirit lives on. May we meet again. Give a big hug to brother Chuck from me too.

I can remember when my mom and Joan started the IV team at STPH- they worked hard, and we'll together. She was a great lady, and will be missed.
I met Joan over 40 years ago when I worked at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was always friendly and fun to work with. She was a great RN! She will be sorely missed. My condolences to you, Emile, and the family. I will keep you all in my prayers during this difficult time.❤️

We lovingly remember Joanie as if a daughter or a sister and will miss her dearly. All our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. So sorry to have not been able to come to the services. Emmett is currently staying in Houston with Therese as he evacuated for Nate and has not yet returned.
