Mrs. Raspino was my 1st grade teacher in 1964 at St. Lawrence in Metairie. She encouraged us to read the headlines in the local newspaper every morning. To this date, I am still reading the headlines 50 years later. She made a lasting impression on me and other students. Rest in Peace Mrs. Raspino. You were a great teacher - the best

Ms raspino was my absolutely favorite teacher I learned so much from her she was great she will be missed dearly.
We remember Jeanne as a loving wife and mother, a devoted teacher, and a good friend. She was a kind and gentle woman who will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Raspino was one of the best teachers at St. Louise de Marillac. She taught my daughter in first grade and I loved her. This was in 1986. She asked me if my daughter was bossy at home because she needed a Kleenex one day and just got up to get one without permission and Mrs. Raspino asked her what she was doing and my daughter said that she needed to blow her nose so she went to get a Kleenex. Of course without raising her hand!!! When my daughter finished first grade she knew more words then any other first grader at other schools and could read the newspaper!!!! She gave out these books of words and my child knew every last word that was taught to her. Will miss her. A great teacher will be missed in schools all around.
I am truly sorry for the loss of our Dear Aunt Jeanne... I will miss her, and will remeber her always. Many sympathies to you, Louis and Cynthia. Much love to you all.
