Jay D. Jarrell's Obituary
Jay D. Jarrell, a longtime crane operator at Equitable and Trinity Shipyards, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the age of 74. Beloved husband and soul mate of 58 years to Shirley Fairburn Jarrell. Loving father of Jay Jarrell (Kim), Anita Seal (Dennis), Robbie Jarrell (Cherie), Bryan Jarrell (Christi) and the late Alice Jarrell Lloyd (Manuel). Son of the late Sarah Laura Carlisle Jarrell and Jesse Doss Jarrell. Brother of Lucile Viola, Georgia Stewart, Raymond Jarrell, Harold Jarrell and the late Daisy Loyd. Grandfather of Jessica Jarrell, Kim McNabb, Brett Jarrell, Emily Jarrell, Brandon Seal, Jordan Jarrell, Cody Jarrell, Kaylee Jarrell, Courtney Jarrell, Dustin Lloyd, Brianna Jarrell, Bryce Jarrell and Addison Jarrell. Great-grandfather of Braylinn Jarrell, Brayden Jarrell, Autumn Jarrell, Kaysen Jarrell, Jase Seal and Kashten Jarrell.
Jay D. will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, Covington, LA 70433 on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Thursday beginning at 12:00 noon.
Interment will follow in Willie Cemetery.
