What a great person!Mr.Don had the smoothest demeanor,always laid back and easy going.I can remember the day(i was his ups man)I entered the office he shared with Mr.Saia.They were both sound asleep.I made a slight noise,causing Mr.Don to snap to attention,at which time he began to prod me for information about businesses in the area that had good stock purchasing potential.From sound asleep to wheelin and dealin in 3 seconds,that was Mr.Don!I was lucky to have known him as well as Mrs.Althea.They will always be remembered!
DON AND I WORKED TOGETHER IN THE 1960'S IN THE LIQUOR BUSINESS. I REMEMBER DON AS A FUN GUY WHO HAD A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR AND TRIED TO HELP OTHERS WHEN HE COULD. WE SPENT A LOT OF TIME TOGETHER AND I ENJOYED HIS COMPANY. HE TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT OUR BUSINESS AND PEOPLE IN GENERAL. OUR CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY.
Presently,I am the coordinator of the Riverwood Men's Group (formally known as The Old Bastards from Riverwood),and a friend of Don. His stories kept most in stitches.He was a swell guy and served our country bravely.Our condolances go to his family and may God bless his soul.
