Aways A Friend
This is dedicted to Jim for his contribution to our lives and too Coraopolis. From his early school days Jim was a big friendly boy who got the nickname "Moose" and went on to become one of Coraopolis' best recognised residents. While in high school Jim was the person who had responsibility for the stage lighting for school activities as well as those put on by private groups. Everyone who went to school with Jim knew him and he was friends with many. Jim gave many hours to the YMCA working the front desk, lifeguard and playing volleyball. For some years Jim worked on the estate that is now the Montour Country Club and we all looked for him when we drove by. Jim was a member of the Coraopolis Volunteer Fire Department too. When Talarico Motors hired Jim it was for his personality and reputation as well as his experience as a mechanic. We all knew Jim when he drove by in his beautiful blue hot rod or his Ranchero. Jim's love for cars started at an early age and continued until his death. Jim may have moved away from Coraopolis many years ago but just say the name Moose Davidson, and he is still fondly remembered by many. Moose is part of Coraopolis history.
