When Rory was about 10 years old our neighbor,Sam Ditta, told Rory that if he could find someone to take the trashy swing set I’ll give you 10 dollars. Rory responded with, “you know Mr. Diitta, I’ll take it” whereupon they threw it over the fence. Dad came home later, saw the swing set on its side in the back and totally lost it. “Where did this garbage come from “ Dad questioned. Rory told dad that , “I made a deal with Mr. Sam” After Rory explained the terms of the deal Dad took off to Sam’s house. I don’t know what transpired between Dad and Sam. The next day the swing set was gone and Rory still had the 10 dollars. Bobby

Tribute to my brother James Rory Anderson.
Rory actually was fearless. He made me tough by beating me every time I angered him. I really love him still.
We were all we had growing up. When one needed help the other was there and vise versa. Later on our older brothers stepped up and recognized the quality of his work. Not the fastest but always with heart.
He always would honor the favor between us. I help him and no matter the years he would never deny my need. I'm drawn to tears over the memories we share. He was a kindest of soul. I always will miss him until we meet again. With all my love will I remember... Rory.

Rory was an extremely good guy, very kind hearted and thoughtful. It is so fitting that he became a minister. I first met Rory through the great, Bobby Anderson in 1978 or ‘79 when Anderson Builders was founded - before it became Anderson National. I was 16 years old at the time and although Rory was a few years older, he treated me as family. When you work with someone everyday it doesn’t take long to get to know the person. The project we were working on was actually a Church - it was a huge metal building right next to a middle school somewhere. I wonder if that’s where he later devoted himself??? The Anderson brothers, Bobby and Mike (I didn’t know the other brothers) are awesome guys. My sincerest condolences to Rory's wife and the rest of Rory’s family. God Bless you all.
