Dad I miss and Love you
Dear Maddox Family, I can only imagine the pain you must be in. I hope notes from freinds that Jack touched through the years helps.
The most fun I had with Jack was when we were in the walk-a-thon in N.O. (1973 or 74. We cheated and road the streetcars between the check in points. We ended up having a great time and raising money (we did not tell our pledges that we did not walk).
Trust in God to give you the strength and comfort in your loss.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
With love and prayers Kevin and Desma Dinkel
Well, wheres the lyrics for this ending, Jack? I can only began by saying that you were the best friend ever! The best co-writer, best band mascot "Insta-Gator", a really great cook, on the barbi! Not only do you leave us to go to a more grander place... heaven, remeber that you will always be in our hearts. By the way I bring a few CDs from Bayou Lagniappe, Countries Rockin when I see you again. Many prayers for the Maddox family in your time of sorrow.
Please accept my sincere sympathy. I am so sorry for the family lose.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort, and may the music live on through Jack.
one of the happiest go lucky people i ever met,he'll be miss by all that ever met him
Seems our childhood memories are often the fondest ones of all. Many of mine are filled with time spent with Jack. As 15-17 year olds, I don't believe the 250 word limit will serve well here, but here are a few.... listening to LSU football games on WWL radio while swimming in his parents pool, cruising in his 442 Cutlass for hours upon hours all over Country Club, accidentally tipping over my Dad's golf cart while going maximum speed down the big hill on Tchefuncta Drive (no injuries to us or the cart), and the funniest of them all - shifting to reverse in his Dad's Cadillac in front of the Amacker's house on CC Drive, while going about 35 mph. We didn't drop the engine, but left world record rubber on the road! My fondest memories, however, came just last night (Randy called to inform me of Jack's passing) when Randy shared with me two miraculous events that occurred, one just prior to Jack's passing and one just after his passing. It's awesome to know that amidst the pain of losing a loved one, The Lord still shines His Light and delivers Hope and Peace in otherwise desperate moments. Thank you for the memories Jack and thank you Randy and Kim for being such wonderful friends and neighbors to the White's for so many years. :-)
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'm so sorry to hear of your lose.

I am so truly sorry for everyone's loss. I will miss him terribly and can't believe he'll never call me again. But Jack lived like he wanted so I guess that is better than most people can say. I am blessed to have his two beautiful children and our soon to be 8 grandkids. I'm sorry they won't get to know their grandpa goofball better. But we always have a stories to tell. I don't want to sign off now cuz I feel its kinda my last link to him but I guess it's probably not so I should cut this short. I can still hear him singing "Broke, busted and disgusted." I guess I'll hear it forever! I loved you Jack and always will! I do so hope you are at peace now! May you be sharing jokes (clean jokes)with the angels! Randy, Marsha, Kim, Melissa, thanks so much for being in my kids life and being there for them every step of the way. I'll hold you in my prayers for that forever! God bless you guys!
"Don't worry Jack, I'm not really gonna cut ya" and I really meant it too. We were playing Doctors with me in the surgeons seat and showing off my scar on my left hand. Well with old razor blade in hand from the bathroom sink and at 7 years old, this scalpel went too close and sliced Jacks hand in the exact same spot. Mary Lou was not pleased. Thank you Jack for forgiving me.
His first brand new gold bicycle with out training wheels equipped with a speed odometer, the maiden voyage on Christmas morning racing down play street(26th)looking down at the speedometer pedaling as fast as he could and WHAM! head on into that parked car. Not even a dent in that old buick. This list could go on of all the laughs we had about the events of our youth down at the bayou in Alex. Hollywood would have been a great next move for Jack. Is that Jack on TV with a black 10 gallon cowboy hat covering the opening night at The House of Blues in New Orleans? I will always cherish his memory. Randy, Marsha, and Melissa my thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Jacks family. Blessings Grove
