Mrs. Betty,
I know this is late in coming, but know I have been praying for you. My most favoritest memories, two in particular, are being invited to eat with y'all & Jo & Richard Harrison. When Joanna & Mr. Howard started one of their many "discussions." One of those nights (William & Mandy were with us), I just KNEW we were going to be kicked out of Copeland's! I don't remember a single word they actually said to each other, but my tummy still hurts from laughing! At some point, William asked me how I was going to explain to David and Waylon that their music associate, one of their best sopranos, pianist and organist all had a lifetime ban from ANY Copeland's in the country.
I will miss his humor-in person & via email-and his encouragement.
I miss playing for you and hearing you sing and I love you very much!!

Though we have never met Howard, his daughter has been a loving wife to our son. We send our condolences to the family. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Thurman of Haughton, La.
Although I never had the pleasure to meet Mr. Odom in person, his daughter Becky is a dear friend of mine and I had the opportunity to meet his sweet wife. I've heard many stories shared by Becky about her daddy, and I know he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his family. My condolences to his family for their loss, and my praise to the Lord for lifting him up out of his suffering to an eternal joy.
