Herbert Dale LeBlanc's Obituary
Herbert Dale “Herb” LeBlanc, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008.
Beloved husband of 51 years to Vivian Kay Venturella LeBlanc; loving father to John Randall LeBlanc and his wife Andrea of Trinidad, Mary Catherine LeBlanc of Houma, James David LeBlanc of Covington, Paul Michael LeBlanc and his wife Teresa of Bogalusa and Glenn Thomas LeBlanc and his fiancé Jennifer Fisher of Paia, Hawaii; grandfather of Michelle S. Chaisson, Matthew Shelly, Lauren Shelly, Alyssa, Justin and Christopher LeBlanc; great grandfather of Bryce Chaisson; and brother to Joyce L. Calhoun of Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Aline Richard LeBlanc.
Age 72 years. A native of Lake Charles, LA, he had been a resident of Bush, LA for the past 29 years. A graduate of LaGrange High School, he attended McNeese State University and was a salesman of oilfield pipe, supplies, offshore cranes and fish fry tickets. He was a member of the Holy Names Society of St. Benedict and an usher at St. Benedict Catholic Church. He was currently serving as a board member of the LA Quarter Horse Breeders Association.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd, Covington, LA 70435.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with a rosary prayed at 6:00 PM, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc., 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday AT THE CHURCH will begin at 9:30 AM.
Interment will follow mass in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
The family would prefer donations to the St. Benedict Catholic Church Building Fund, 20370 Smith Rd, Covington, LA 70435.
