Helen Watkins Clesi Howard's Obituary
Helen Watkins Clesi Howard passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008. She was born January 24, 1927 in Sumrall, MS to the late Yates H. and Hattie Sumrall Watkins and has been a resident of Covington for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and the father of her children, Sam R. Clesi, Sr. She re-married years later to the late William H. Howard, Sr. She was the loving mother of Sam R. Clesi, Jr., Bobbie Clesi Parta, Joseph I. Clesi and Janet Clesi Drivon; mother-in-law of Noelle Clesi, the late Floyd Parta, Barbara Clesi and Edmond Drivon. She is survived by 10 grandchildren: Maureen Clesi Montalbano, Sam R. Clesi, III, Barbara Parta Ottesen, Sheri Parta Elliott, Michelle Clesi Scandaliato, Bryan J. Clesi, Jeffrey, Amy, Jennifer and Sarah Drivon and 18 great-grandchildren.
Her family and friends will always be grateful for her unselfish love, kindness and laughter she so generously shared.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM from St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours at the Church will begin at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow mass at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington.
In lieu of flowers, masses are preferred.
