Jimmy (Jerry's brother) and Mr. Jerry's Family, I was sorry to learn of Mr. Jerry's passing. He was such a helpful man to me in the late 80's when I needed to rent a house on Jahncke. Jerry you were a true gentleman my heart breaks at the loss of you. You were the one that befriended a confused and frightened refugee boy and made him smile. You were the one that maintained contact even though you could have carried on with your own life and forgotten all about him. When I was little, my Bubba Geral, taught me to swim in the Bogue Falaya River. He took me out piggy-back, told me to hold on around his neck, and proceeded to swim us both out into the "deep part" and across the river. He was nice and confident and strong and handsome, so I was not in the least afraid and easily learned to swim. I think he carried many of his beloved across many rivers, loving every minute of it.
