Judy my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
My heart breaks for you Judy and Lynnette. Gary was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. I have you in my heart and prayers. Sending my love and hugs.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mr. Gary drove both of my children for 8 years each when they attended Fifth Ward. He wasn’t just a bus driver, he was an extremely caring person. He formed a special bond with every child on his bus as well as their parents. He will be missed dearly
Praying for peace and comfort for his family!🙏🏻🙏🏻
RIP My Friend we all will miss you!
You will be forever in our hearts❤️!
I trusted Gary with my child during her years at Fifth Ward Jr High. He was the best! He was a friend away from the bus as well. Running into him once in a while in Breaux Bridge on some of our travels. He will truly be missed. Prayers for Judy and the family. R.I.P. my friend.
HE WAS THE BEST BUS DRIVER. WE LOVED US ALL..
I remember it was either 7th or 8th grade year(1986-1987) It was the morning of the last day of school . The 9th graders always sat right behind him so they could talk to him. Well we all started having a big paper ball war and he never fussed or told us to stop. When we pulled up at the school we stood up to unload, he didn’t open the door, he stood up and the 9th graders had been collecting our paper ball bombs for him and they started bombing us with them. We all took cover. He laughed and laughed because he got us. That afternoon he gave us bags to pick up our mess and we had to much fun to complain. Lol Nope our kids will never understand how Fifth Ward use to be!!!!! When kids were still allowed to be kids!!!!
My heartfelt sympathy to all. I just saw Gary a few weeks ago at a yard sale. I met Gary when I was at FWJH, knowing that I like flea markets we would often run into each other.
He would always joke and tease me if he got the better deal. Because he was the early bird.

I am so sorry to learn of Gary’s passing. How I loved seeing him during dismissal at FWJH. He had a great demeanor for his job. I know the students respected him.
