Frank Joseph Mondello Jr., age 60, of Abita Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Mondello Sr., and his mother, Shirley B. Mondello. He is survived by Read Obituary
I am sorry to hear that Fankie went home to be with Christ at such a young age. I know the pain you guys are in and will be praying for all of you. Sorry for your lost.
We at Lanier & Associates were fortunate to have worked with Frank for many years during which time Frank frequently spoke of both his caring, loving and supportive family as well as the exciting and interesting adventures of his youth. It was abundantly clear to us that every aspect of Frank's existance centered on his love for his family and his zest for life. It is our hope that our many vivid memories of Frank along with our retelling of some of the incredibly interesting stories from his life will somehow lessen our sadness over his passing. We can only hope that his family and friends might find similar comfort in the face of this great loss. Unfortunately, no matter what we do, we will miss Frank.
So sad to hear the passing of Frank. My brother, Pat Browning called asked if I heard. Didn't know or we would have gone to the service. Frank and my brother were very good friends in their youth. When Frank's Mother died, he looked to my Mother in that role. We were very close, but as is life, we got older and grew apart. But our fond memories will always be there. For Frank's Family, We lived next door to Frank on F St. in Covington for years. We certainly felt like he was part of our family. He was always there to lend a helping hand or listen to problems with a smile. I've never known a man with a bigger heart. I know he loved his family more than life itself.
