Floyd David Glass' Obituary
Floyd David Glass, age 80 of Madisonville, LA passed away peacefully on Monday, February 22, 2016. Born, Monday, December 23, 1935 in Madisonville, LA to the late John and Regina Fussell Glass.
Survived by his Wife - Inez June Glass, Sons - Ronald Glass (Tricia), Kenneth Glass (Kelly), Daughters - Debbie Glass Collom (Tracy), and Donna Glass Reno (Clint), Grandchildren – Kristy Ruffino Dugan, Matthew Ruffino, Brandy Guiffreda Hancock, Eric Guiffreda, Daniel Guiffreda, Jason Glass, Joshua Glass, Dustin Reno, Dana Reno, Jenna Reno, Megan Glass, and Kyle Glass. Great grandchildren – Mason Hancock, Mary Hancock, Ada King, Evander Dugan, Lexi Guiffreda, Levi Guiffreda, Gillian Guiffreda, Emilia Guiffreda, Emmet Reno, and Sister – Eva Oalman.
He was predeceased by his Parents, Sisters – Hazel Lebreton, Audrey Brumfield, Ethel Glass, Brothers – Horace, John “Sonny”, Ernest, and Sidney Glass.
Floyd was devoted to his family, a public servant, a former Madisonville Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Constable, Justice of the Peace, Police Juryman, Parish Councilman, and Parish President, He was a Covington High School graduate, employed by Avondale ship yard for 15 years, owner of Floyd’s Shell Service in Madisonville and a member of First Baptist Church in Covington.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Hwy 1085 Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10:00 AM to service time.
Interment in Theodore Dendinger Cemetery Madisonville, LA.
