Kennie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Floyd. I think of daddy when I think of him as they were childhood friends as we were. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

June and family, I am so sorry to learn of Floyd's passing. I served with him for many years on parish government. He was a true leader who cared so much for all the people of St Tammany. Growing up I remember laughing from all the many stories my Dad use to share about what Mr. Floyd would serve them for lunch (turtle, possum, you name it and he probably served it to you) during his visits at Mr. Floyd's gas station in Madisonville. Sorry to hear about Mr. Floyd. Our prayers go out to his family during this time of loss of their loved one. Mr. Floyd will be greatly missed by his family along with many of his friends.

My uncle Floyd Glass, a one of a kind Great man passed this week to be with our Lord and Savior. Uncle "Booty" as we called him, suffered for so long without one day passing. He and I were only 4 years apart in age and I was allowed to sleep over and play with him and his friends as I became older. His daddy, my Grandpaw was the Ice man in Madisonville. Uncle Floyd held positions in the town's politics and was able to assist and help those in need. What I remember most about Uncle Floyd was the care he had for others. He is a Christian, and I, along with many, look forward to being with Him again one day.
Very sorry to see Floyd passed away. I don't know if you will remember Barbara and I, but I served on the Police Jury with Floyd. During my 12 years, we attended several Police Jury conventions around the state. Floyd always was very caring and had a joke/tale of some kind.
