I was so sorry to hear about Floyd. He was a true hero and gentleman. I have just found out and was unable to attend the service. I will always have a special spot for him in my heart, he taught me a great deal when I was a kid working for Dad. He and Joyce will be in my prayers.
Joyce, My prayers and love are with you at this time and always. I will hold dear the wonderful memories of the friendship between you and Floyd and Bill and I. We both had wonderful husbands and can cherish the time on earth we had with them and pray for the time we will meet them again in heaven.
Sincere love and friendship,
Rita Woessner
Dear Dupres,
I never had the pleasure to meet Mr. Floyd Dupre, but I was sad to read of his passing. As a graduate of Texas A&M University and the grandson of two WWII veterans, I have long heard stories of the heroic actions of the 2nd Ranger Battalion under the leadership of Col. James Earl Rudder at Pointe du Hoc on D-Day. In 2004, I had the opportunity to visit the cliffs and was moved to tears. To know that Mr. Dupre was an integral part of such an important and courageous endeavor must be a real source of honor and pride to you - as men & women like him should be so for ALL Americans.
Mr. Dupre, thank you for your service to our country and to a just cause.
To the Dupre family, I offer my most sincere condolences for your loss.
