Flora Smith “Maxine” Rogers passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 in Covington, LA. She was born on May 19, 1943 in Sylacauga, AL to the late Loyd Cecil Odell Smith and Mary Lema Heflin Smith.
Maxine was the loving mother of Vickie R. Sharp (Greg), Robin R. LeBlanc (Robert) and Kimberly Tierce. She was the proud grandmother of Jason Galloway, Kelly Galloway Smith (Corey), Brandon Pierre (Connie Ann), Steven Pierre, Casey Walley, and Micah Tierce. Maxine was the great-grandmother of Averie, Sydnie, Haylee, Aubrey, Seth, Dalton, Collin, Peyton, Molly, Landen, Elijah, and Ryleigh. Maxine was the sister of the Mary Alice Holder (Sheffield), Gloria Faye Rogers (Allen), Sylvia Holder (Harold), Wayne Smith (Carolyn), the late Leman Heflin, and Glenda Lee Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at New Zion Baptist Church, 17387 New Zion Church Rd, Covington, LA 70435 on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 9:00 AM until service time.
