Gloria, I never had the pleasure of meeting your father but I am sure he was a beautiful person. Please know that thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. Danny
I believe it was fate that we moved next door to Everett & Nellie. They both helped us through a very tough transition when we moved here from California. We had no family or friends here but they made us feel at home. We loved sitting on the porch sharing stories & we would laugh until we cried. We felt a bond of family instead of just neighbors. They both meant the world to us. When Nellie passed my heart was broken I felt lost as we had become very close. But when Everett would talk about his wife and cry I cried too, feeling his pain of loss. No matter how much pain he was feeling closer to the end it seemed it made him happy to make others laugh. And he loved to give his advice, which Always turned into something funny. He was a Good, Caring, Gentle man who has changed our lives forever. Knowing you has made me a much stronger person. We will never forget You & Nellie. All Our Love. Debbie, Tony, & Joe
Our sympathies to all of you.Uncle Everett was my Godfather, he was a special Uncle. I have great memories of times spent with him and Bete, seafood boils, Thanksgiving dinners, dyeing Easter eggs and those great summer trips. They were there during the tough times too, Daddy's bypass surgery, Mama's back surgery, the door was always open to us. They will be missed.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences in the loss of your dad. I have many fond memories of visiting Aunt Nellie and Uncle Everett in New Orleans when I was growing up. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as you go through this sad time. Wishing you blessings and peace in our Lord.
