I just recently found out about Eric's passing and I am truly heartbroken. I met Eric through his brother Clay many years ago and my brother and sister in law are one of those happy couples who purchased their wedding rings from him 31 years ago. Eric was a true gentlemen. He was kind, patient and genuine. My heart goes out to the Babcock family and Eric's friends. He will be greatly missed.

I will always remember Eric . We grew up together and always had fun playing games and neighborhood sports. It is very sad that this has happened to him. I remember that he got up and said some very kind words at my mother’s service. I will miss him.

So sad to read about Eric's passing. I am a long lost Sunday School student who went to Metairie UMC with Eric, along with going to Ella Delohnde and Metairie Jr High. Then we grew old and he went to EJ, me Riiverdale. God puts people in our lives as we learn love and then sends us out. From reading Eric's life, I see he was blessed with what he loved and a wonderful family. So sorry for your loss, but please find peace knowing that Eric was a special friend, even as a child.
