"Ma," as I called her, was a true matriarch. When it came time for the birth of each of our three children, she was the first one there, offering much-needed advice and support. And she was there for all of her grandchildren, always praising and offering words of wisdom. Her Thanksgiving dinners were second to none, not to mention the crawfish "berl" she threw for Denise and me when we got engaged. But perhaps our fondest memories of you, Ma, are at the lake house--The Brown Derby--with family reunions, flotillas across the lake, and dinners on the porch. Our family get-togethers won't be the same without you, Ma, but you and Paddy will always be in our prayers. Rest peacefully, Ma. You were, and always will be, loved by many. Carl.
