Elaine Weil Duvic's Obituary
Elaine Weil Duvic of Slidell, LA passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the age of 93. She was born on September 25, 1924 in New Orleans, LA to Lloyd Weil and Ethel McCarthy Weil.
Elaine is survived by her children Ann E. Duvic, Amy Duvic Nolan, Michelle Stecha Duvic, Aubrey W. Nolan, and Frank “Roger” Duvic, III; five grandchildren Carol Nolan Seng, Reita Nolan Fisher, Jeanne Duvic, Ryan W. Nolan, and Frank Roger Duvic, IV; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lois Brupbacher of New Orleans, LA.
Elaine is preceded in death by her husband Frank Roger Duvic, Jr. and her parents.
Elaine was a long-time resident of Gretna, LA. She was a teacher and later the founding principal of L.W. Higgins High School.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Pl, Slidell, LA 70458 on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church on Monday beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow the service in St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Elaine be made to the Elaine W. Duvic Scholarship Trust, Inner Wheel Foundation, Our Lady of Lourdes Friends of St. Anthony.
