We send our heartfelt condolences to Jenny, Holly, and their beautiful families for the loss of their precious Momma and Gran. The passing of Edna, one of our dearest friends, has been difficult for us, as well. We will keep you all in our in our prayers.
Edna and I were best friends in high school. Rad and I double dated with Edna and Hollis many times, the first being at our Senior Prom. Who knew then, we'd be marrying our prom dates. But it was a good call because they wound up being the loves of our lives. Edna was a fun friend in school, partnering with me in Home Economics, where we had a few culinary flops, but good laughs along the way.
Edna was one of the most devoted mothers I know to her two much loved and cherished daughters, Jenny and Holly. She was so proud of them for their many accomplishments and for their dedication and assistance to Hollis in his time of poor health and passing. They stepped up again when Edna became ill to care for her, so for Edna I say "thank you girls. I'm proud of how you handled her final days."
As they were born, Matthew, Grant and Tyler became Edna's sun, moon and stars! How she loved those grandsons. And when Mya was born, she was the sun, moon and stars all rolled into one! She spent hours (literally) on the phone with me bragging on the grandchildren.
She, like Hollis, will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by us always.
