Edgar counseled Robin and I before we got married. His careful review of our faith and how compatible our beliefs were gave us a lot of comfort going forward into what would be the second marriage for both of us. 10 years later we still think of Edgar's wise guidance. He will be sorely missed.
He was always a great person to confide in and would show you the Lords way. Cared so much about his co-workers and always wanted them to be a better person. Prayers for his family. He will be missed so much.
I am stunned. He loves Jesus, his family, his friends and his church. When I learned I had cancer and was so worried about being able to afford my treatment, Edgar just let me cry. He didn't give a big, " just have faith" he knew I knew that. I just needed to grieve. He gave me his handkerchief to compose myself. I still have that handkerchief 11 years later. Prayers for your family.
Edgar led the FBC Singles Ministry and its Sunday school (connect group) for many years. He brought thoughtful content and engaging discussions. We outgrew our classrooms because of his leadership. He and Shella hosted us for Christmas each year. The dirty Santa games were rip-roaring hilarious and Shella, I still remember that cake! My heartfelt prayers go to the entire family. When Pat and Bonnie died Edgar got with everybody to chronicle their memories, and delivered the most heartfelt and memorable eulogies that will stay in my heart forever. Edgar had a gift that we all shall miss . Bill
Edgar is someone I have known since I was a kid and he was always a good friend to my dad and our family. He showed me how to lift weights and it has stuck with me all my life. His discipline, enthusiasm and passion for Jesus and others are what I will remember most. See you in heaven!

Going on a cruise with Paddy is my favorite memory, and something I will forever cherish. Paddy, we loved you so much and your light will forever live on.
Edgar was such an inspiration to so many people, including myself. He had so much energy and always had a smile on his face. I I know a lot of his work outbuddies were waiting for him as well as many family members at the entrance of heaven! Job well done, Edgar!
