Dewey Carpenter, Jr., age 79 of Mandeville, LA died on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA. Born December 16, 1938 in New Orleans, LA to Dewey Carpenter, Sr. and Katie Thomas Carpenter. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Covington, loved his grandkids, watching football and loved reading his bible. Dewey founded Northlake Glass Co. in 1977.
Survived by his Wife of 55 years - Patricia Kustenmacher Carpenter, Sons - Dwayne Carpenter (Rachel), Dewey Dale Carpenter, Daughter - Deanna Carpenter (Adam Spell), Grandchildren - Gavin Carpenter, Blake Huff, Brayden Huff, Breanna Huff, Caitlyn Carpenter Wear (Christian), Bentley Carpenter, Sisters - Ella Loyd, Dot Barker, Shari Peter, and Brothers - Jerry Carpenter.
He was predeceased by his Father - Dewey Carpenter, Sr., Mother - Katie Thomas Carpenter, Sisters - Gloria Smith, Lavita "Pee Wee" Mendel, and Brothers - J.D. Carpenter, and Jeff Carpenter.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 Hwy 1085 Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Covington.
Interment in Abita Springs Cemetery Abita Springs, LA.
