David Jerome Murray's Obituary
David Jerome Murray passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the age of 95 years.
Beloved husband of 70 years to Marcella Mountel Murray; loving father of Patricia Musso (Frank), Thomas Murray (Earline), Robert Murray (the late, Marcia), James Murray (Janice), Barbara Cefalu (Salvador, Sr.), Mary Ovino (James) and Kathleen DeBarbieris (Keith); grandfather of Daniel Musso (Lisa), Michael Musso (Samantha), Mark Musso (Michelle), Donna Musso Cornella (Erik), Thomas J. Murray, Deborah Murray Gennaro (David), Maggie Murray, Peter Everett, Latham Hill, Jessica DeBarbieris and Michelle DeBarbieris Hill (Carter); great-grandfather of Frank P. Musso (Teri), Danielle Musso, Matthew Musso, Ryan Musso, Nathan Musso, Courtney Musso, Eli Musso, Vittoria Cornella, Dominico Cornella, Ashley Murray, David Murray, Jonathan Gennaro, Andrew Gennaro, Luca Sophia Hill, Samantha Everett, Madeline Everett and Ashton Hill; and great-great-grandfather of Lila Musso.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he was transferred by Formica Company to Birmingham, Michigan in 1949 and to New Orleans in 1960. After retiring, David and Marcella moved to Bush, LA.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433.
Visitation at the funeral home will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday.
Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
David’s family would especially like to extend their thanks to Canon Hospice, whose staff so compassionately cared for him during the last month of his life.
