I will never forget you and I thank you for being my dear friend 🙏
To All Family Members, the ones I have known and others that I have not had pleasure of meeting, I express my sincere sadness and condolences in Dave’s passing! I had the pleasure a few weeks ago of visiting Dave at his home in Abita Springs & his wonderful soul mate Linda. When I left I kissed his forehead & told him I loved him!!
Many years have gone by, but I know our friendship was strong, and also Dave was strong to fight the battle he fought for so long!
God Bless the entire family & my very deepest sympathy to everyone!
Hang Loose My Brother til we meet again!
Your Friend!

Dave & I go back to 1967 to our junior year in high school 58 years ago. A lot of time passed since then, but it so very hard to lose a person that was like a second brother to me!
David loved everyone & they loved him! I was fortunate enough to know his entire immediate family, and was always welcomed and treated like one of them any time I visited!
Going to miss You my brother, as there is or cannot be a friend to anyone any finer than YOU! David was Family!
Rest in Peace My Brother!
Prayers are with your family as this difficult time . Rest in Peace Mr Dave .
It’s difficult to put into words how hard it is to lose a friend like Dave. A best friend for over 50 years, a man I respected deeply, and one of the strongest people I have ever known.
Dave was more than a friend, he was family. I will miss him everyday.
Love you Dave!
I worked with Dave and have known him for 20 years. I can say without reservation that he is one of the finest men I have ever known. He taught me the value of quiet leadership and was loyal and caring to his employees. He had a great sense of humor and although he was often in pain or struggling he never complained or quit. Dave Ellis was one of the good ones! Rest in peace my friend.
