David Joseph Drolla's Obituary
David Joseph Drolla passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the age of 59 years. David was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the 24th day of May 1966. He is survived by his parents, Dale Tschirn Drolla and Francis Joseph Drolla, Jr. and his wife, Terry Glaudi Drolla, and his sister Dana Drolla Manly and her husband, David Michael Manly.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lorraine Walt Tschirn and Edward Roosevelt Tschirn, his paternal grandparents, Genevieve “Gam” Clark Drolla and Francis Joseph Drolla.
David graduated from St. Paul’s School in Covington and obtained an Associates Degree from Delgado Community College in Radiology Technology. He was employed at North Shore Regional Medical Center in Slidell, Louisiana, for 18 years. David then completed a Computed Tomography course at Delgado Community College and was employed at Tulane University Hospital as a CT Technologist for 4 years.
In June of 2020, David contracted Guillian-Barré Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disorder where the body’s immune system attacks the peripheral nerves, rendering him disabled for several years prior to his death.
David was a devoted animal lover. He cherished his dogs, Lily and Apache, and his cat, The Churdle.
David finally found peace in death after struggling for most of his life with depression and anxiety.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for David at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, on Friday morning, September 12, 2025, with visitation from 10:30 AM until a Memorial Mass at Noon.
