David Linden Arceneaux, Sr.'s Obituary
David Linden Arceneaux, Sr., proud American and retired US Marine,passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024. He was born in New Orleans, LA on May 28, 1946. He graduated from East Jefferson High School and later received his Associates in Business Study degree in Corporate Mid Management from Delgado College. Most importantly, he had a loving family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Wilken Arceneaux; his children, Christina Farmer (Duane), Tana Lawler (Patrick), Jessica Arceneaux, and David Arceneaux, Jr. (Danielle); his 7 grandchildren (Kailyn, Zackary, Reighan, Kamron, Forrest, Griffin and Noah), and 1 great-granddaughter (Emrie). He is also survived by his sisters, Trudy Pecoul (Ron) and Lisa Adams (James); 6 nieces, 4 nephews, and a slew of cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Mary Dussur Arceneaux and Linden Joseph Arceneaux; and his brother Michael Arceneaux.
David lived the ideal life. He grew up with a large caring family, he joined the USMC and served his country in Vietnam, had a full career in the military, married a lovely Metairie lady, raised 4 kids and taught them integrity, loyalty, and a solid work ethic, created core memories for his kids by weekend visits to Lafitte and Franklinton. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and lived the best life. What more could one ask for?
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Arceneaux may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM with visitation on Friday beginning at 9:00 AM.
