Dennis Hubscher
Constance (Connie) was the daughter of Doris Alice Birckhead (a "c" in the last name). Doris subsequently married Author Thomas Western, my uncle. So, stretching, I am by marriage a cousin of sorts. I am the family genealogist, and have searched for Connie for years until finding her obituary today. Family rumors indicate Doris could not take care of Connie, and she was raised by her paternal grandparents in Southern Maryland, where I now live. There are a number of Thompson families here, but none that I contacted knew of Connie. Belatedly, I am glad to have come across her, even after her passing. She had a wonderful life.
The obituary says Connie took care of her mother, Doris, in Florida prior to her passing. Doris died in Myrtle Beach, S.C. in 1989. Her marriage to my uncle produced a son, Nicholas Arthur Western, who lives in Leonardtown, MD. I have no idea whether my nephew, Nick, know of his half-sister, Connie.
