Lt. Col. David Meade Johnson's Obituary
Lt. Col. David Meade Johnson passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the age of 75. He was a resident of Mandeville for the past 13 years and had lived and worked in the New Orleans metro area since 1971.
He was a retired Deputy Director of the Federal Maritime Commission in New Orleans, a Vietnam War Veteran, a retired Hurricane Hunter with the 815 WRS at Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS and most recently he worked part-time in the Radiology file room at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
A native of Jamestown, NY, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Johnson; his parents, Walter and Marie Meade Johnson and his brother, Keith Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, D. Rene Johnson, sisters and brother-in-law, nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend memorial services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from the chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
Visiting hours will begin at 9:00 AM.
