My Father In Law was such an example of vibrancy in life. I so loved him, and his ability to measure life in the value of others and family. He loved God, and worshiped him. Men were men then...served God, their country, and their family. Dan got his love of fishing, hunting, and boating from Pops. We hope to share this tradition with our Grandchildren! The earliest memory of my Parrain was he sitting at his desk at The Warf in New Orleans, smoking a cigar. We often ate at Bart's restaurant on the Lakefront where he told me I could order anything I wanted off the menu (always redbeans and rice with a Roy Rogers). We went fishing a few times together and he told me that when I grew up he would give me a LDWF "ship" named the Widgeon.
