Charles Delmont Vandercook's Obituary
Charles Delmont Vandercook age 72, of Covington passed away Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021. He was born on July 31, 1948 in Jackson, Mississippi to John P. Vandercook Sr. and Millicent Catherine Gunn Vandercook.
He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Adams Vandercook, his children Michael Aaron Vandercook (Sandra), and his siblings Cherry Vandercook Blackwell (Ben), J. Paul Vandercook (Fran), and Philip Vandercook (Sandy). He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents John P. Vandercook Sr. and Millicent Vandercook.
A native of Jackson resident of Covington, Charles was a devoted member to First Baptist Church of Covington.
He dedicated his career and free time to the service of those that needed it. He was a kind, caring person who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at The Chapel of First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 LA-1085, Covington, LA 70433 Tuesday March 9th, 2021 with visitation from 9:00am – 11:00am, and services following.
With COVID-19, restrictions social distancing and face mask are required to attend services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Charles Vandercook may be made to First Baptist Church Covington and/or Global Maritime Ministries in New Orleans, LA. Donations may be either mailed to:
