Charles Jacob Clifton's Obituary
Charles Jacob Clifton passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009. He was born March 25, 1934 in New Orleans to the late George Thomas and Mary Nungesser Clifton. He worked and raised his family in New Orleans and has been a resident of Abita Springs since 2007.
The beloved husband of Leatrice “Lee” Dours Clifton, he is survived by four children: Terence M. Clifton, Leslie C. Jeanfreau, Douglas S. Clifton and David W. Clifton. Five grandchildren: Jennifer, Tyler and Brandon Jeanfreau, Claire and Aidan Clifton, also survive him. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Corey Jeanfreau and three sisters: Lorraine Duffy, Shirley Goux and Betty Sibley.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from the chapel at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st. Ave., Covington, LA 70433.
An evening wake is scheduled for Friday, September 25th from 6-9:00 PM.
Join the family in praying the Rosary Friday at 6:15 PM.
Visiting hours at the funeral home will begin Saturday at 10:00 AM.
Interment at the Abita Springs Cemetery will immediately follow mass.
