Aunt Lee, Terry, Leslie, Doug and David - so sorry about the loss of your husband/father and our uncle "Buddy". We are keeping all of you in our prayers. Leatrice and Family, Charlie had so many good qualities and I always enjoyed talking with him--as a child and through adulthood. He had the ability to speak on any subject and keep everyone interested with a personal story or a little joke. My fondest memories are as a young girl sitting in your kitchen on Tricou Street with the two of you and my mother just shooting the breeze. I always felt happier leaving your house than I did going in, due in large part to good conversation with you and Charlie.

Uncle Buddy was such a sweet and kind person to me. He always seem to have a funny story to tell that would always get me smiling.His passing seems much too soon.

Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved husband and father. My heart and prayers go out to each of you in a very special way.
I have my own warm remembrances of such a loving and gracious man. Charlie will forever have a BIG piece of my heart for the true love and kindness he had for my late daughter, Gretchen Picou Clifton, his daughter-in-law, ( David's wife ). He never waivered in that love or kindness during all the years I knew Charlie, and he actually took Gretchen's death as hard as her brother, Brian, Dave and I did. Gretchen told me many times during her marriage, that she loved Mr.Charlie like a father, and treated him accordingly.
Charlie and my late husband, Terry, hit it off quite well also, and always found many common interests to discuss and laugh about together.
As for myself, I am really saddened today, because I find myself missing a really good friend, whose smile could light up a room, and make you feel like he had been waiting to see you all day, when you walked in!
Rest In Peace, dear Charlie. You have earned your reward.
Aunt Lee - I was sadened to hear last week about Uncle Buddy's condition. I will remember him fondly and will miss his stories which always made me laugh. Wish we could come in. We will be with you in our thoughts and our prayers. It is comforting to know he is with his family and at rest in heaven with our savior and lord.
