Charlene L. Sanders' Obituary
Charlene L. Sanders succumbed to Mercle Cell Carcinoma, of which there is no known cure, on Saturday, April 18, 2009. She was 85 years old.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Herbert C. Sanders, a retired civil engineer; one son, Judge Richard B. Sanders of the Washington State Supreme Court; and her granddaughter, Laura, a graduating senior from the University of San Francisco.
Mrs. Sanders retired from teaching at Covington High School and held both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Southeastern University. She was dedicated member of the American Association of University Women and was a resident of Tchefuncta Club Estates in St. Tammany.
She is also survived by many relatives and friends in Houma, Alexandria, California and Washington State.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Healthcare treatment was provided by Journey Hospice.
