Carroll Joseph Falterman Sr.'s Obituary
Carroll Joseph Falterman, Sr. of Covington, Louisiana, went into eternal rest and peace on Friday, May 30, 2025. He was born on February 24, 1938, in Barataria, Louisiana, to the late Lin Joseph Falterman and Sadie Verdin Falterman.
Carroll was married to the late Velma Trammell Falterman, the love of his life for over 50 years. He is the loving father of Carroll J. Falterman, Jr. (Stacey), Jennifer Bowlin (Michael), and the late Rhonda L. Falterman. He is the adoring grandfather of Brandy Morse (Johnny), Tiffany Cambre (Stephen), Samantha Pate (Kevin), Matthew Walder (Brooke), Aubrey Beiser (Josh), Bethany Way (Ethan), and Kyle Falterman (Desiree). He is also the amazing great grandfather of Zachary, Owen, Adeline, Piercen, and Cameron.
He is the brother of Mary Dufour (Alvin), and preceded in death by Jimmy Vincent (Phyllis), Edward Falterman (Cindy “Etta”), Martha Thibodeax (Stanley), and Georgia Knight (Dub). He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. He is also survived by his current wife, Barbara Bollinger.
He is a patriot and proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps from 1958 – 1963. He served as an Embassy Guard in Naples, Italy, where he met and married his wife, Velma.
He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Folsom, Louisiana, where he poured his heart into pure service of others including two mission trips to Belarus. His legacy of patriotism and unselfish giving should be carried forward by everyone.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the St. Tammany Parish Hospice Team, specifically Sandy, Lisa, and Tawana, and to Visiting Angels Member Q. Their loving care of our family member was a blessing and comfort.

An evening wake will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue, Covington, Louisiana.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in the adjacent Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
The pallbearers will be Jerry Trammell, Johnny Morse, Kyle Falterman, Ethan Way, Matthew Walder, and Zachary Morse.
