marvin was always their for me more than my own father i will never forget him he was a great friend to my grandfather john murley the one saying that i will remember the rest of my life is i need a tottie for my body i would always laugh when he sayed that he taught me so many thing with life careers and just plain advise. he was always willing to teach me anything.i will never forget him and and his words of wisdom also his phrases that he would say was always the best.the one thing about him is that if you were in a bad mood he would always change that.he got me through the worst time of my life when my grandfather past on.Marvin and my grandfather were always best friends will always be and now together again.I just wish i could have told him that i was ok from the hurrican and that i love him

Mr. Marvin you were there for me whenever I needed you. You are in many ways my father and my grandpa. I will always cherish those long talks we had about every little problem I needed help with. My grandpa told me before he passed that if I needed anything to go see you, and know you finally get to go see him and have a totti for your body!! I will never forget the wonderful guidance you have given me!! You are a gift from god and truely a remarkable man!! Thank you for being a part of my life & helping me be who I am today!!! I LOVE YOU!!! To Travis, Darren, Jeremy and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful man and touched so many of us in many ways. Pass his memory on to the future "Shorts".

I will always remember Marvin for all the help he gave to others in his life. All the jokes, the boat rides, the weekend stays in Alabama and most of all how much he loved his sons and grandson. Marvin would come to my office for help with his back. However, I looked forward to the conversations that took place during, and after the treatment. I always enjoyed Marvin's view of current events and life, in general. My condolences to his sons,of whom he was especially proud.

My fondest memory's of Marvin will always be his incredible smile and little laugh that went along with his incredible positive attitude.
As life goes by me, I realize that you need to spend time with friends that are true and Marvin was certainly that, a friend without boundary's and someone you could always depend on and someone who was always there.
My deepest sympathy. I will miss him.
