Praying for you, Julie and family. He fought a long hard battle, he's won the race and now he's received the prize - meeting his Savior, face to face. No more sickness, no more dying, just joy unspeakable. I'm truly sorry for your loss, but he's heaven's gain and in a little while you will meet him again. May our Lord Jesus Christ continue to hold you and yours close to his heart, pouring forth his mercy and grace in abundance along with every physical and spiritual blessing from above. May the peace of Christ reign in you and your family's hearts. Love your sister in Christ, Joan Newman
Billy Wayne was a great friend and mentor to me. When I took over the responsibility as Director of Security for Hibernian Bank, I relied heavily on Major McGaha for his investigative experience and help in handling our bank robberies. From that relationship a close and enduring personal friendship evolved. I fished and hunted with my friend and he taught me well. The memories he provided me are forever a part of me. Thank you for sharing a first name, professional experience, and a genuinely honest and caring friend.
Good friends come and go but enemies are forever. Will miss you my friend. Save some for seed until we fish again!
My Dear Young One! Just opened my Facebook and found your message.
Thoughts and prayers are with you, your Mom and siblings.
He fought a long battle.
Know that he and his damaged heart are now peaceful with Our Heavenly Father.
Will touch base with you sometime next week.
When I first come on NOPD he was my sergeant on the Mardi Gras detail and after talking to him we realized that he was also a neighbor, a block and a half away. He was first a good man, a great Police Officer and a fine example of a human being. A down to earth individual who was just a pleasure to be around. Our time together was short but you knew right away that he was a good family man. God has truly been pleased with Billy and I am sure that "He is exceptionally fond of him". Rest in Peace Billy, for you have earned it.
Billy was a wonderful man and a very good friend. He will be missed by all. AJ &Margaret Leonardi
