Barbara Ann Oubre Liberto's Obituary
Barbara Ann Oubre Liberto age 81, of Mandeville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 10, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Alvin Oubre and Marie Florence Puipuro.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frederick "Fritz" Henry Liberto, Sr. She was the loving mother to Frederick “Ricky” Liberto (Renee), David Paul Liberto (Ana), Gino Salvadore Liberto and Mark Gerard Liberto (Amii). She was the proud grandmother of Stephanie Ann Liberto, Brittney Winn Liberto, Gabrielle Maria Hail, Benjamin David Liberto, Abigail Nicole Liberto, Zachary Hunter Liberto, Mia Grace Liberto, and Maci Lynn Liberto, and loving great grandmother to Jenna Winn Comeaux, Bella Dianne Liberto, Holiday Leigh Hail, Hugo Wilder Hail, and Paul Benjamin Liberto. She is also survived by two step granddaughters, Sarah Soregaroli, and Charla (Charlie) Mascagni.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved grandson Jacob Salvadore Liberto,
A native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Mandeville, Barbara graduated from Holy Angels High School in 1958. She grew up in the Ninth Ward in New Orleans.
Barbara was a loving, kind, and gentle person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Liberto Family would like to express its gratitude to Miss Vicki Romig, whose devotion and tender care was a constant throughout four years of dedicated service to Miss Barbara and the Liberto Family. A special thank you to her and her family for all they did and continue to do for us. To all of our care-givers who assisted us, especially the devoted staff of Concerned Care Home Health, and the good people of Heart of Hospice, we are very grateful.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church located at 312 Lafitte Street, Mandeville, Louisiana 70448 on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM with visitation from 10:00AM until service time. Interment will follow the service at Mandeville Cemetery.
