It’s been decades since I roamed the streets of Mandeville in the summers with the four Liberto boys, but those memories are among my fondest from my childhood. When my military parents were moving (always in summer), my siblings and I were sent to grandparents (Jackie and Mel Ouder) and The Compound. “Miz Barbara” was one of the reasons I felt safe and loved. She was part of my village each summer. My condolences.
